If you'd like to purchase a new bike through the click-to-ship programs at Specialized, Kona, or Linus, we will assemble and sanitize the bike and schedule curbside pickup or home delivery.

On the first Thursday of every quarter, join Mayor Jorge Elorza and the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition for an evening ride that showcases different neighborhoods of Providence. Bring your bike, a helmet, and front and rear lights to Burnside Park, and enjoy this slow ride for all experience levels!. Ride kicks off at 6:30pm in Burnside Park, downtown.
December 7th - Third Annual Bike Shop Day Coat
Drive Join us on Saturday, Dec 7th, as we celebrate International Bike Shop Day by hosting our 3nd annual winter coat drive to benefit Amos House, a social service agency in Rhode Island, that provides services to over 15,000 people annually, housing nearly 165 men, women, and children every night throughout the year. Please bring clean, and gently used winter coats for people of all sizes. Amos House has expressed a special need for coats in larger men's sizes. We will also accept donations of brand new hats, scarves, and gloves of all sizes. Learn more and spread the word, here.

October 20th - Pedal for Pongo Documentary Screening
Join us at 11am on Sunday 10/20 for a screening of Pedal for Pongo, a documentary film about filmmaker Joseph Lyons's bike tour around the northeast to interview primatologists, zookeepers, and researchers about animal conservation, primatology, and primate evolution. The filmmaker will be on hand to introduce the documentary, and answer questions afterward. See Pedal Powered Anthropology for more info.
October 25th - Halloween Party / Zombie Bike Crawl
Join us on Friday 10/25 for a Halloween party and group ride. Come in costume, or have Issac give you a zombie face-paint makeover. Take some snapshots in our photo booth at the shop, and we'll roll out from Broadway around 6:30pm to join the Providence Bike Jam in Burnside Park, downtown by 7pm. Bring your bike, a helmet, and front and rear lights, and enjoy this slow ride for all experience levels! We'll end the ride at Trinity Brewhouse for some grog with your best ghouls. September 15th - Annual Apple Picking Ride
Join us for a conversational-pace ride along the rural roads northwest of Providence, to a favorite apple picking destination. We recommend carrying a bag to transport all those apples and cider donuts home, and a lock to secure your bike at the farm. Leaving Broadway at 1:00 sharp.

September 22nd - Sunday Afternoon Mixed-Terrain Ride
Expect a fun, casual-paced ride on roads and trails in and around Providence with shop rep Issac. Wider tires, a sense of adventure, and a helmet are recommended. And since it's getting dark earlier, it couldn't hurt to bring some lights. Please reach out with any specific questions, and be added to our group rides messaging list.
September 29th - WRWC Benefit Fun-Ride
This event is a fundraiser for the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council. We will have ~20mi and ~40mi routes, as well as an option with an easy turnaround so riders of all levels have a chance to experience the local greenway, and do some good for a local non-profit that works hard to improve the quality of life for all members of our community. Rolling kickoff in groups from Broadway at 9:00 sharp—more info coming very soon. June 6th - Community Action Night
A night of advocacy in support of reproductive rights and community wellness, organized through The Nitro Bar, in our shared community space from 7:30pm - 9:30pm. Hear from community leaders, take part in a raffle of goods / services donated by local businesses, and learn what you can do for abortion rights nationwide.

May 2nd - Bicycle Skills 1-2-3
Bicycle Skills 1-2-3 is a free 90-minute clinic designed to help you brush up on basic handling skills. In this on-bike workshop we will cover skills like starting and stopping, signaling, shifting, hazard avoidance and more. We will cap off the evening with a short group ride around the neighborhood, ending back at Dash to refuel with pizza and drinks. Expect fun, relaxed-paced rides on Sunday afternoons all summer long. Roll out at 4:30 sharp for a 2-3 hour no-drop ride led by Issac, weather permitting. May 26th - Ten Year Anniversary
We got our start as a courier service in 1995, and opened the doors to Dash Bicycle in the spring of 2009. Sunday, May 26th we'll be celebrating our 10th anniversary servicing our community from our storefront on Broadway with a cycling art show in the community space, an alleycat race, a bicycle-scavenger hunt, and plenty more fun stuff in the works. Dash and the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition are offering free monthly workshops through the spring. Our first workshop of the spring will introduce some of our favorite rides for beginner and advanced riders, plus a few crucial routes around town. We will also go over topics including bike maintenance, ride-planning, clothing, and road safety, and we'll take the group for rides once the weather gets warmer. These events are free and open to everyone in the community, of all ages and ability levels. We'll supply pizza and drinks so you don't have to worry about missing dinner. April 25th - Pedal for Pongo Send-off / Group Ride
Pedal for Pongo is a self-organized charity bicycle tour to benefit Orangutan Outreach, a charity dedicated to orangutan conservation. Documentary filmmaker Joseph Lyons will be meeting with primatologists, zookeepers, and researchers at several zoos, museums, and universities and talking to them about the different roles they play in animal conservation while learning all about primatology and primate evolution. Join the Pedal Powered Anthropology team for breakfast at The Nitro Bar, and ride out to the Coventry Greenway (aka the Washington Secondary Bike Path) at 9am. February 2nd / 3rd - CX Worlds, Live
Join us on February 2nd and 3rd to watch both the elite women and men’s cyclocross world championships live at the Social Enterprise Greenhouse (10 Davol Square, in Providence). There will be coffee, bagels, and pastries on hand and raffle prizes including a gift card from Dash. Tickets available through 1PVDCycling.org, proceeds benefit the 1PVD Cycling youth cyclocross league for local students.

October 14th - Corn Maze Group Ride
Group ride to the corn maze at Salisbury Farm in Johnston, RI, with the option of a 30mi route or a 20mi route. Small locks are recommended, and we may have a shop truck at the farm, if you'd like to pick your own pumpkin (and collect it from the shop, after the ride). 12-4pm, group ride leaves at noon. Helmets are required for rides from the shop.
October 28th - Tour de Tentacle
The Lovecraftian bike-based quest game is back. The game starts at 2pm at the Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council bookshop in The Arcade Providence. The Tour de Tentacle—Halloween 2018 Edition October 31st - Halloween Party! Stop by Dash for some trick or treating and take some pics with props in our Halloween photo booth. Plus, we'll be drawing our Stranger Things raffle in the afternoon.

September 16th - Scituate Reservoir Group Ride
We're leading a casual pace road ride from the shop out to the Scituate Reservoir and back on Sunday 9/16. It'll be about 30 miles of paved roads with some hills, leaving at 3pm, and we expect to be back on Broadway around 6pm. Helmets are required for rides from the shop.
September 22nd - Group Ride to the Builders Ball
The Annual New England Builders Ball is the region's only handbuilt bicycle show. Now held in Boston, MA at the Innovation and Design Building (2pm-10pm), this is a great opportunity to see what bespoke frame-builders are doing, and chat with everyone from Boston's Firefly, to locals Chapman Cycles, Pratt Frameworks, and more. The Builder's Ball is not to be missed. This is a 50mi ride, from Providence to Boston—departure time tba, and we are planning to take the train home. *Anticipated departure time is 9am.*
September 23rd - Bianchi Field Day & West Side Group Ride
Bianchi Bicycles is joining Dash's monthly casual "no-drop" group ride, with test rides of bicycles from Bianchi's range, raffles, snacks, and sale pricing on special orders from Bianchi. 12-4pm, group ride leaves at noon. Helmets are required.
September 30th - Apple Picking Group Ride
We're riding out to Barden Family Orchard in N. Scituate, RI for some DIY apple picking, so panniers or backpacks are recommended, as well as a small lock. 12-4pm, group ride leaves around noon. Helmets are required.
