Spring Dream Team

Spring will be here before you know it, and we are looking to add a few good humans to the team. Dash is a community-oriented shops, and we believe that cycling belongs to everyone from bike-share riders, to all-season commuters, to the competitive cyclists, to the kids with training wheels. Winter Hours

We're leaving the house with gloves most days at this point in the year, and things have slowed down here. This weekend will be our last Sunday at the shop for the season, and Dash will be closed on Sundays and Mondays through the winter. Please stop by during regular shop hours, Tuesday thru Saturday 11am-5pm.

The Nitro Bar will also be open slightly shorter hours through the winter, closing at 5pm instead of 7.

Ride Up Grades / Make Upgrades

If you've been in the shop recently, you may have noticed some changes happening. This winter we will be moving the mechanic area to the back office, expanding the community space, and polishing up some things around the building. Come say hi, and let's plan some rides.

Bike Shop Day

On Saturday, December 1st, we will be celebrating the 2nd annual Bike Shop Day with another coat drive to benefit Amos House, as well as hosting a free bike maintenance class available to anyone who is interested, led by one of our professional mechanics. We will be offering a special 15% discount, or a free coffee from the Nitro Bar, with any donation. Please reach out for more information.

Classes are in session, and as the summer winds down we will be closing on Mondays to give our staff a proper day of rest. Please come see us during regular shop hours, Tuesday thru Sunday.

Group Ride to New England Builder's Ball

We are planning a group ride from Providence to Boston on Saturday, September 22nd. It's about 50 miles, and we're planning to take the train home after a few hours of checking out the best handbuilt bicycles that New England's frame builders have to offer. Bianchi Field Day

We are looking forward to hosting the world's oldest bicycle manufacturing company still in existence, Bianchi Bicycles, at Dash on Sunday, September 23rd, from 12pm to 4pm. We will have food and drinks, a no-drop pace group ride, Bianchi test rides with a factory rep, one-day sale pricing on special orders from Bianchi, and raffles. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, and we hope to see you there.

Independence Daycation

Summer Group Rides with Dash

Introducing the West Side Group Ride, a casual "no-drop" group bike ride from Dash, out along the Woonsaquatucket River Greenway and back with a stop for ice cream at the halfway point. Meet up at our shop at noon on the fourth Sunday of the month, all summer long. Our first group ride is June 24th; we'll plan the route all you need to bring is a helmet and good vibes. We will continue rides into autumn and beyond, as long as the weather holds. We have added Bianchi Bicycles Field Day to our group ride scheduled for Sunday, September 23rd.

We made it through March, which means Spring officially upon us. The shop will be open on Mondays again, starting April 2nd. Come see us at 228 Broadway, Monday-Saturday from 10am until 7pm.

Don't Steal Bikes, Bro

We caught a bike thief today—this was not the first we have caught, and it will not be the last. We understand that theft is an unfortunate reality of life in the city, and we have a zero tolerance policy. In this case, with the help of our neighbors at The Nitro Bar we chased the thief down, retrieved the bike, and let the local authorities handle the rest. The point is worth repeating—don't steal bikes, it will not go well for you.

Now Hiring Mechanics and Salespeople!

It is the time of year we start looking for self-motivated shop staff for the spring and summer 2018 seasons, with the opportunity for longer-term work for the right candidates. Experienced mechanics and sales staff are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. People skills are a must, and we prefer candidates who are invested in all-season bike culture. Welcome the Nitro Bar

We really want you to meet our new roommates! The Nitro Bar is the permanent outpost for local mobile cafe The Nitro Cart, and it is located inside Dash Bicycle. Without hyperbole, these humans may just make the best coffee in town, and we are excited to share our space with them.
